In a single room, it is usually possible to have an accompanying person around the clock - this is important for elderly patients and after major interventions. The scope of medical care is identical to other categories: only the household component differs.
What is included in a bed day
A bed-day is not just a place in a ward. This includes meals, prescribed medications, dressings and procedures, as well as 24-hour supervision by a nurse and daily examination by the attending physician.
The room category determines the level of comfort: the number of beds, the presence of a private bathroom, TV and additional amenities. The scope of medical care is the same for all categories; the household component differs.
When is a hospital needed?

How many days will it take
After most outpatient interventions, one hospital day is enough - discharge occurs the next morning. After major operations, the period is determined by the attending physician based on the condition: wound healing, temperature, restoration of bowel function and urination.
