How is it different from a regular massage?
Medical massage is performed as prescribed by a doctor and solves a specific clinical problem: reduce pain in osteochondrosis, restore muscle tone after immobilization, improve joint mobility during contracture. The massage therapist takes into account the diagnosis, stage of the process and concomitant diseases, and the intensity and duration vary from session to session depending on the reaction. The course is usually combined with physical therapy and physiotherapy.
What does massage give?
Massage improves blood circulation and lymphatic drainage in the affected area, relieves muscle spasm, reduces pain and increases mobility. For chronic back and neck pain, it is included in standard treatment regimens along with physical therapy.
The effect is cumulative: after one session, temporary relaxation occurs, and a lasting result appears by the end of a course of 8–10 procedures.
