Accurate monitoring
The vaginal sensor sees follicles with an accuracy of up to a millimeter, regardless of the patient’s weight and the filling of the bladder: the doctor monitors the diameter of the dominant follicle, the synchrony of growth during stimulation (prevention of hyperstimulation), the three-layeredness and thickness of the endometrium before ovulation (7–8 mm or more is favorable for implantation), and prescribes the day of the trigger for ovulation, insemination or sexual intercourse. After ovulation, the corpus luteum is confirmed. Such monitoring increases planning accuracy compared to ovulation tests and abdominal ultrasound.
Indications
- pain in the lower abdomen, cycle disorders, heavy menstruation;
- fibroids, cysts and ovarian formations, endometriosis, polyps - detection and control;
- infertility - folliculometry, ovulation, endometrium;
- pregnancy - confirmation, timing, heartbeat, Doppler;
- preventive examination once a year.
Why ultrasound
Ultrasound is a safe imaging method without radiation: suitable for children, pregnant women and for repeated monitoring. The doctor sees organs in real time, assesses their structure, size and blood flow (in Doppler mode), and a conclusion with measurements is issued immediately after the study. The information content depends on the training and experience of the specialist; In the clinics below, ultrasound examinations are performed by ultrasound diagnostic doctors using expert-class devices.
