Who most often needs a bilateral procedure?
Wax plugs form in both ears in people with narrow ear canals, with regular use of earbuds and hearing aids, and in older patients due to the denser consistency of wax. The doctor rinses both ears and examines the eardrums - sometimes inflammation is found under the plug, requiring separate treatment.
Why are ENT procedures needed?
Many diseases of the ear, nose and throat are treated not only with pills: the medicine must be delivered directly to the source - to the sinus, to the tonsil lacuna, to the auditory tube. This is exactly what ENT manipulations do.
A course of procedures often allows you to do without antibiotics or sinus puncture, and in chronic forms, it can significantly increase the period of remission.

How many procedures are needed?
The standard course is from 3 to 7 procedures every other day. For chronic processes, courses are repeated 1–2 times a year. Improvement is usually felt after the first or second procedure, but you should not interrupt the course: incomplete treatment often ends in a return of symptoms.
