Why are both sides affected?
Bilateral tubo-otitis is typical for adenoids in children, allergic rhinitis and after a respiratory infection: swelling of the nasopharynx blocks the mouths of both auditory tubes. In this case, the procedure is performed on both sides in one visit. At the same time, be sure to treat the cause - rhinitis itself or adenoids, otherwise ear congestion returns.
Why are ENT procedures needed?
Many diseases of the ear, nose and throat are treated not only with pills: the medicine must be delivered directly to the source - to the sinus, to the tonsil lacuna, to the auditory tube. This is exactly what ENT manipulations do.
A course of procedures often allows you to do without antibiotics or sinus puncture, and in chronic forms, it can significantly increase the period of remission.

How many procedures are needed?
The standard course is from 3 to 7 procedures every other day. For chronic processes, courses are repeated 1–2 times a year. Improvement is usually felt after the first or second procedure, but you should not interrupt the course: incomplete treatment often ends in a return of symptoms.
