Intensive schemes
Three-day cycles are used in protocols with high doses and combinations of drugs: the patient receives a continuous infusion with automatic monitoring, daily tests, correction of electrolytes and symptoms in real time. Comfortable room for three days with meals, personal contact with the team; extract - with a complete plan for the inter-cycle period. This format carries “heavy” protocols as safely as possible.
Indications
- adjuvant chemotherapy after radical surgery (reducing the risk of relapse);
- neoadjuvant - tumor reduction before surgery;
- therapeutic - for common stages according to protocols;
- regimens with docetaxel and other drugs - as prescribed by the oncologist.
How the course works
Chemotherapy is carried out in cycles according to international protocols: the duration of the infusion depends on the regimen - from a 6-hour day stay to 24-72-hour infusions with accommodation in the ward (price list positions correspond to the duration and include the ward, food, premedication and staff work; the chemotherapy drugs themselves are as prescribed, docetaxel is available in “included” options). Modern accompanying therapy makes treatment tolerable: nausea is controlled in most patients. The port system (page in the surgery section) saves the veins from damage during long courses.
