When one session is enough
One session helps with acute muscle spasm and pain (for example, with renal colic in addition to medications, after physical overload), as a trial procedure to assess tolerance and as maintenance between courses. Only a course can provide a sustainable therapeutic effect for chronic prostatitis, pelvic pain and joint diseases - the doctor determines its duration at the first session.
Indications
- chronic prostatitis and pelvic pain syndrome - stimulation and pain relief;
- urinary disorders, overactive and hypotonic bladder, incontinence (electrical stimulation of the pelvic floor muscles);
- back pain, joint pain, neuritis, recovery from injuries and operations;
- chronic inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs in women (not exacerbation);
- muscle atrophy and weakness after prolonged immobility.
Contraindications
- malignant tumors and suspicion of them in the affected area;
- acute infections with fever, purulent processes before drainage;
- bleeding and tendency to it;
- pacemaker (for electro- and magnetic therapy), metal implants in the treatment area;
- pregnancy (to affect the pelvic and abdominal area);
- decompensated heart disease, epilepsy (individually).
How it works
Pulsed currents of low and medium frequency stimulate nerve endings and muscles, improve blood flow and lymphatic drainage, relieve spasm and pain, accelerate the resorption of edema and infiltrate. In urology, electrotherapy is used to improve prostate drainage, train the pelvic floor muscles for incontinence, and relieve pain; in gynecology - for chronic inflammation of the appendages and adhesions. A course of 5–10 procedures consolidates the effect.
