Protocol for erectile dysfunction
The gel applicator sequentially treats 5 zones - three along the shaft of the penis and two at the root/perineum - 300-600 pulses for each at low energy; The procedure is painless and takes 15–20 minutes. Standard course - 6 sessions twice a week or 12 sessions once a week; for Peyronie's disease, the plaque area is treated; for pelvic pain, trigger points of the perineum are treated. The effect develops gradually and reaches its maximum 1–3 months after the course: in 60–75% of men with mild to moderate vascular ED, spontaneous erection improves and the need for medications decreases; the course can be repeated after 6–12 months. Before starting, a urologist-andrologist confirms the vascular nature of ED using Doppler ultrasound.
Indications
- mild to moderate vascular erectile dysfunction is the only method that restores one’s own erection mechanisms (stimulation of vascular growth);
- Peyronie's disease - pain reduction and plaque softening;
- chronic pelvic pain syndrome/chronic prostatitis category III;
- heel spur, epicondylitis (“tennis elbow”), tendinitis of the shoulder and Achilles, chronic pain in muscles and ligaments;
- delayed healing of fractures, trigger points.
Contraindications
- malignant tumors in the affected area;
- coagulation disorders, taking anticoagulants;
- acute infections, pregnancy;
- pacemaker when exposed nearby; open growth plates in children.
How it works
Low-intensity shock waves cause micro-impacts in tissues, which trigger the release of vascular growth factors (VEGF), the formation of new capillaries (neoangiogenesis), the resorption of calcifications and fibrosis, and pain reduction. For erectile dysfunction, this restores blood supply to the corpora cavernosa - the effect lasts 1-2 years and reduces the need for pills; for pelvic pain, relieves spasm of the perineal muscles; for tendinitis, eliminates chronic inflammation. A course of 6–12 procedures 1–2 times a week.
