Same volume, different positions
The clinic offers karyotyping in two price positions with different prices - the performing laboratory and terms differ, but the method (lymphocyte cultivation, staining, analysis of 20+ metaphases) and diagnostic value are identical: choose a convenient option by comparing the price and term in the “Options and Prices” block. If a restructuring is detected, the couple is offered IVF with preimplantation genetic testing - this is how a healthy child is born, despite “bad” genetics.
When is it appointed?
- two or more miscarriages - karyotypes of both partners;
- infertility of unknown origin, azoospermia;
- developmental anomalies and delayed puberty;
- IVF planning with preimplantation testing;
- family history of chromosomal diseases.
Chromosome analysis
Karyotyping studies all 46 chromosomes under a microscope after culturing lymphocytes: it reveals numerical anomalies (Klinefelter, Turner syndromes) and structural rearrangements - primarily balanced translocations that do not affect the health of the carrier, but cause repeated miscarriages. The analysis is taken once in a lifetime, in pairs; result in 2-3 weeks with genetic consultation. The clinic’s price list includes two items of different prices (different performing laboratories); the scope of the study and diagnostic value are the same.
