Types decide therapy
Up to 20% of recurrent candidiasis are non-albicans species, which are almost not afraid of fluconazole: typing changes the scheme fundamentally. Quantity separates carriage from disease. The panel is standard for 4+ episodes per year before the suppression course.
When is it appointed?
- discharge, odor, itching - accurate typification of the disorder;
- recurrent thrush and vaginosis;
- pregnancy planning and preparation for IVF;
- control after treatment;
- discomfort with “normal” routine smears.
Quantitative approach
Florocenosis is a line of quantitative PCR panels: each bacteria and fungus is counted in absolute numbers and compared with lactoflora. This transforms the diagnosis from “is/no” to “how much and in what balance” - the only correct way to work with opportunistic flora. The panels are combined: NCMT covers pathogens, BV/Aerobes/Candida/Mycoplasma types the imbalance, the complex covers everything at once.
