What does the laser solve?
Fractional laser creates microzones of controlled heating in the mucosa, triggering the synthesis of new collagen and improving blood supply to tissues. Over a few weeks, the vaginal walls become denser and more elastic. The method is used for moderate decrease in tone after childbirth, mild stress urinary incontinence, dryness and discomfort during menopause. The procedure is outpatient, takes 20–30 minutes, does not require anesthesia or a recovery period. A key limitation that is important to know in advance: in case of pronounced prolapse of the walls of the vagina and uterus, the laser does not replace reconstructive surgery - it works with the quality of the tissue, but does not restore the anatomy.
Outpatient gynecology
A significant part of gynecological problems are solved by procedures that do not require hospitalization: local administration of drugs, treatment of the cervix, restoration of patency of the fallopian tubes, therapeutic massage.
What they all have in common is a short turnaround time, no anesthesia and the ability to return to normal life on the same day. Many are assigned a course and the outcome is assessed upon completion.
When are the procedures performed?
Most manipulations on the cervix and in the uterine cavity are performed in the first phase of the cycle, immediately after the end of menstruation. The reason is that during this period the endometrium is thin, the risk of bleeding is minimal, and the tissues have time to heal completely before the next cycle.
Required condition
Before any intrauterine intervention, a smear on the flora and examination for infections are required. Carrying out the procedure during an inflammatory process can lead to its spread into the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes.
