Basic antiseptic treatment
The procedure cleanses the vagina of pathogenic flora and inflammatory discharge mechanically and with an antiseptic, which in itself reduces the bacterial load and alleviates symptoms. Suitable as preparation for interventions (3–5 procedures), for mild inflammation and as an addition to systemic treatment, when the patient uses the prescribed suppositories at home. If administration of drugs in the clinic is required, sanitation with medications is chosen.
Indications
- colpitis (vaginitis), bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis - as part of treatment;
- cervicitis, cervical erosion with inflammation;
- preparation for operations, hysteroscopy, insertion of an IUD, cauterization of the cervix;
- preparation for childbirth in case of detected infection (as prescribed by the obstetrician);
- copious discharge with odor, itching, discomfort.
Why is rehabilitation needed?
Local treatment of the vagina removes pathogenic flora and inflammatory products, delivers antiseptic and medicine directly to the site, accelerates the restoration of normal microflora and reduces the risk of postoperative infections. The doctor performs the procedure more thoroughly than is possible at home, treating the arches and neck. Sanitation is prescribed based on the results of a smear and combined with systemic treatment if necessary; After the course, lactoflora (probiotics) is restored.
