Tachycardia and rhythm disturbances
Tachycardia is a heart rate greater than 100 beats per minute at rest. In itself, increased heart rate is not a disease: the heart must speed up under stress, excitement, temperature, and dehydration. The question is always whether the acceleration of the situation is adequate. Paroxysmal tachycardia deserves special attention - an attack that begins and ends suddenly, “like a switch,” with a frequency of 150–220 per minute. Such an attack has a specific electrical cause and in many cases is cured radically.

Heart valve defects
Heart valves act like doors, allowing blood to flow strictly in one direction. A valve defect is either a narrowing of the opening (stenosis), due to which blood passes forward with difficulty, or incomplete closure of the valves (insufficiency), in which some of the blood flows back. For many years the heart compensates for the violation, and the person does not feel anything; complaints arise when reserves are exhausted. Therefore, the decision about surgery is made not based on how you feel, but according to echocardiography data - and timely intervention returns normal life expectancy.

Autonomic dysfunction (VSD)
Autonomic dysfunction is a condition in which a person experiences palpitations, dizziness, shortness of breath, sweating, and heat waves, but testing does not reveal heart, lung, or brain disease. In post-Soviet medicine, this is usually called “VSD” or “vegetative-vascular dystonia”. It is important to understand: this is not an independent disease, but a description of a set of symptoms. There is almost always a specific reason behind them - most often an anxiety disorder or panic attacks, less often endocrine and other diseases. This is why “treatment of VSD” with vascular drips usually does not give results.

Transient ischemic attack (TIA)
A transient ischemic attack is a temporary disruption of the blood supply to an area of the brain, which causes the same symptoms as a stroke, but they disappear completely, usually within an hour. In everyday life this is called a “micro-stroke”, and it is the name that creates the dangerous illusion of something insignificant. In fact, a TIA is the most serious warning the body can give: the risk of a full-blown stroke is greatest in the first days after it. You need to be examined immediately, and not “when you have time.”
