The clinic provides a certified titanium port system with a radiopaque catheter and Huber needles for the first punctures; the patient receives an implant passport and care instructions. The port eliminates the need to search for veins during each course: the nurse punctures the membrane in seconds, after the course the system is washed and “closed” for a month. Showering, swimming, normal life - no restrictions after healing. Once treatment is complete, the port is removed in 20 minutes on an outpatient basis. For cancer patients, this is the standard for comfort and preservation of veins throughout the entire course of treatment.
Indications
- chemotherapy - multi-month courses with preservation of veins;
- long-term infusion therapy, parenteral nutrition, frequent blood sampling;
- “bad” peripheral veins, phlebitis from drugs;

Catheter or port
CVC - quick access for the hospital stage (week); port system - a reservoir with a membrane implanted under the skin for many months of outpatient treatment: invisible, does not interfere with showering and swimming, can be punctured with a special needle in seconds, and lasts for years. For chemotherapy, the port is the standard of care for the patient: the veins of the arms are preserved, irritating drugs enter the central bloodstream safely, and the risk of extravasation is minimal.
