In category 1, the adhesions are loose or cord-like and occupy one area - the surgeon enters away from the scars, cuts the adhesions with scissors without coagulating the intestine, checks the passage and applies an anti-adhesive barrier. Typical patients have pain from a postoperative scar, a single episode of partial obstruction, and a “soldered” omentum. The pain effect is felt immediately after healing; the risk of relapse is minimal due to minor trauma.
Indications
- adhesive disease after surgery with chronic abdominal pain;
- recurrent adhesive intestinal obstruction;
- adhesions that deform the intestines with impaired passage;
- preparation of the abdominal cavity for other operations for massive adhesions.
Treatment of adhesive disease
Adhesions form after any operation and inflammation; in some patients they cause chronic pain and dangerous episodes of obstruction. Laparoscopic adhesiolysis cuts adhesions sharply and with ultrasonic scissors with minimal coagulation at the intestinal wall; The low-traumatic approach itself reduces the risk of new adhesions compared to open surgery, and anti-adhesion barriers additionally protect the separation zones. The category of complexity depends on the prevalence and density of adhesions; a two-day hospital stay is included in the price.
Benefits of laparoscopy
Laparoscopic access is the standard of modern abdominal surgery: instead of a 10–20 cm incision, 3–4 punctures are left, the pain after surgery is much less, the patient gets up on the day of surgery and is discharged after 1–2 days, the risk of wound infection, hernias in the scar and adhesions is several times lower, and the enlargement of the camera allows you to operate more accurately. In the clinics below, operations are performed by surgeons with extensive laparoscopic experience; hospital (SKD) is included in the price according to the price list.
