Classic all inclusive
Lichtensteinplasty does not require general anesthesia and is suitable for older patients and those with pulmonary/cardiac restrictions; For large inguinal-scrotal hernias, open access makes it convenient to work with the bag. The mesh is fixed without tension - the pain after surgery is moderate, pain relief lasts 2-3 days. The femoral area is also strengthened through the incision. Stitches are removed on the 8th–10th day; office in 7–10 days, sports in 1.5–2 months. All materials, anesthesia and bed-day are included in the price list.
Indications
- inguinal hernia in patients who prefer spinal/local anesthesia (age, pulmonary diseases);
- large inguinoscrotal hernias;
- relapse after laparoscopic plastic surgery (the “change of floor” principle);
- unilateral hernias if an open technique is desired.
Lichtenstein method
Open Lichtenstein repair is the world standard with a recurrence rate of 1–3%: the mesh is placed on the posterior wall of the canal behind the cord without tissue tension, so the pain is moderate, and the operation is possible even under local anesthesia in elderly patients with concomitant diseases. Compared to laparoscopy - no need for general anesthesia and pneumoperitoneum, cheaper; inferior in terms of recovery time and cosmetics and does not allow closing both sides with one access. The surgeon makes the choice between open and laparoscopic techniques based on anatomy, anesthetic risk and patient preferences (laparoscopic options are in the “Options and Prices” block).
