Course for chronic prostatitis
The blockade is performed in the lateral position: a thin long needle is inserted through the skin of the perineum to the lateral surface of the prostate under the control of a finger in the rectum or TRUS, the solution is distributed around the gland. The effect is a reduction in pain and dysuria after 1–2 procedures; a course of 3-5 blockades with an interval of 2-3 days is combined with prostate massage, physiotherapy and antibiotics according to culture. The method helps with persistent pelvic pain, when pills are ineffective, and is well tolerated.
Why are blockades needed in urology?
Blockade is the introduction of an anesthetic to the nerves, providing anesthesia of the area during the procedure (circumcision, frenulotomy, biopsy, reduction of paraphimosis, treatment of priapism) or a therapeutic effect for chronic pain: chronic prostatitis and pelvic pain syndrome, orchalgia, pain after surgery on the scrotum, renal colic. Therapeutic blockades with anti-inflammatory drugs relieve spasm and inflammation, improve blood flow and are carried out in a course.
Security
Small doses of anesthetic are used; complications (hematoma, allergies) are rare. Blockades are not performed in case of skin infection at the injection site, coagulation disorders or drug intolerance. The price list includes medications.
