Immune memory
The quantitative format of IHLA allows for comparison of titers over time; the correlation “number = protection” is conditional, therefore routine retakes “to monitor immunity” are not recommended - the test is appropriate for the fact of seroconversion and for research/clinical purposes as intended.
When is it appointed?
- ARVI symptoms during the season - rapid separation of flows;
- hospitalization and operations - as required;
- contact with a sick person;
- assessment of post-vaccination/post-infectious immunity (antibodies).
Three questions - three tests
Express antigen answers “am I contagious now” in 20 minutes (maximum accuracy in the first days of symptoms); PCR is the most sensitive “is there a virus” standard for hospitalizations; IgG/IgM antibodies evaluate the immune signature of a vaccination or disease. The choice of test is determined by the task - the doctor or administrator will advise you when making an appointment.
