What is the difference between traditional lifting?
The key difference is working not only with the skin, but also with the SMAS, the muscular aponeurotic layer of the face. It is its movement and fixation that gives long-term results: the skin is not overly stretched, so the face retains natural facial expressions. At the same time, the subcutaneous muscle of the neck is corrected. The operation is long, requires general anesthesia and observation, and recovery takes about three weeks - but the result lasts twice as long as after minimally invasive techniques.
Why does the face age?
Facial aging is not just about wrinkles. Under the influence of gravity, the fatty bags of the cheeks lower, the muscular aponeurotic layer loses its tone, jowls and nasolabial folds form, and the skin of the neck sags.
Creams and injections work on surface and volume, but do not lift sagging tissue. This is exactly the problem that a lift solves: the tissues return to a position close to their original position and are fixed.
Intervention Options
- minimally invasive lift without anesthesia - for moderate age-related changes
- face and neck lift - when sagging affects the chin-cervical angle
- traditional circular lifting under anesthesia - maximum volume and most lasting result
- non-surgical rejuvenation (plasmolifting) - improving skin quality without tightening
How to choose a method
The degree of tissue ptosis is of decisive importance. For initial changes, limited intervention with short recovery is sufficient. In case of pronounced sagging, minimally invasive methods give short-lived results, and it is wiser to immediately choose a full-fledged lifting - otherwise, a repeat operation will be required in a year and a half.
