Fast and informative
The recording is performed on a digital device with automatic and medical analysis: the conclusion describes the rhythm, heart rate, intervals, electrical axis and deviations with a clinical interpretation. The film and conclusion are handed out and accepted by anesthesiologists and institutions. In case of alarming findings (fresh ischemia, significant arrhythmias), the patient is sent to a cardiologist immediately - the route is built in the clinic.
Indications
- chest pain, palpitations, irregularities, shortness of breath;
- hypertension - control of myocardial changes;
- a mandatory element of preoperative examination and admission;
- prevention: medical examination, certificates, access to sports;
- control when taking medications that affect the rhythm.
What does an ECG show?
An electrocardiogram records rhythm and conduction (arrhythmias, blockades, extrasystoles), signs of ischemia and previous infarction, hypertrophy of the heart, and electrolyte influences. This is a screening method: a normal film in case of complaints does not exclude the disease (stress tests, a 24-hour monitor are needed), and the findings are clarified by echocardiography. Before anesthesia, an ECG is required - the anesthesiologist relies on it when choosing tactics.
