Short nap
Modern hypnotics (propofol) provide controlled depth and a “fresh” awakening without heaviness and nausea for the majority; breathing remains independent under the control of saturation. After 30–60 minutes of observation, the patient is ready to go home with an accompanying person (driving the next day). Ideal where moments of stillness and comfort are needed.
Indications
- operations of any complexity - from outpatient to multi-hour;
- diagnostic procedures requiring immobility and comfort (endoscopy, hysteroscopy);
- labor pain relief and postoperative analgesia (epidural);
- patients with concomitant diseases - an individual plan.
Safety of modern anesthesia
The risk of anesthesia today is minimal and is determined mainly by the patient’s condition, and not by “anesthesia” as such: examination by an anesthesiologist before surgery (questionnaire, tests, ECG), selection of the optimal method, modern short-acting drugs and continuous monitoring make the process manageable. Regional methods (spinal/epidural) allow one to avoid general anesthesia where it is not needed - the patient breathes on his own and wakes up without a “heavy head.” Prices according to the price list correspond to the type of anesthesia and are included in the concept of “turnkey operation” in most positions.
