Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, Tashkent Institute for Advanced Medical Studies, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor. In 1968 he graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute. From 1988 to the present day, he has been the head of the department of ophthalmology at the Tashkent Institute for Advanced Medical Studies. He is the author of 223 scientific works, including 2 monographs, 5 patents for computer programs, 4 copyright certificates and 8 methodological recommendations. Under his leadership, 3 doctors of medical sciences and 23 candidates of medical sciences were trained. He makes a great contribution to the development of such current scientific areas as clinical ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, eye microsurgery and ophthalmic cybernetics. With his direct participation and leadership, practical and scientific-practical research is being conducted in the development of new scientific and technical complexes for studying the organ of vision, medicines and microsurgical methods, treatment of glaucoma, cataracts and the choroid. Kh. M. Kamilov, as an experienced doctor and ophthalmic surgeon, is constantly improving his qualifications. The department headed by him is a leading center for advanced training of specialists working in all specialized eye centers and departments of the republic. He is a member of the scientific council and the problem commission of the Tashkent Institute for Advanced Medical Studies, a member of the scientific and problem commission on ophthalmology, the scientific and medical council under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and is the chairman of the Republican Society of Ophthalmologists. Regularly conducts consultative and therapeutic work in the medical and sanitary association under the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the National Service. security. By decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on August 25, 2006, Kh. M. Kamilov was awarded the “Mehnat Shukhrati” order for his work in improving the well-being of the people, peace and health care.
