Synechia of the labia minora in girls
Synechia is the fusion of the labia minora with a thin film, which occurs in girls most often between the ages of several months and 6–8 years. The reason is related to the peculiarities of this period: there is still little natural estrogen, the mucous membrane is thin and easily inflamed, and after irritation the edges of the lips stick together. The condition is usually harmless, often proceeds without complaints and in many cases goes away on its own by the onset of puberty. Treatment is required when the fusion interferes with urination or is accompanied by inflammation. You cannot separate adhesions at home with your hands: it is painful, traumatic and leads to repeated adhesion.

Scanty menstruation (hypomenorrhea)
Hypomenorrhea is a menstruation in which the volume of discharge is noticeably less than usual: the blood is smearing, the pads last a long time, and the days of menstruation themselves are often reduced. This is not an independent disease, but a signal about how the ovaries, pituitary gland, thyroid gland are working and how well the inner layer of the uterus is preserved. In the first years after the first menstruation and during the transition to menopause, scanty periods are natural; against the background of hormonal contraception, they are expected. In other cases, it’s worth figuring out: sudden weight loss, chronic stress, polycystic ovary syndrome, increased prolactin, thyroid disease, or damage to the endometrium after curettage may be behind the poverty. What is important is not the scarcity itself, but its cause and the preservation of the ability to become pregnant.

Adhesive disease of the abdominal cavity
Adhesions are strands of connective tissue that form between intestinal loops, organs and the abdominal wall after damage to the peritoneum. Most often they appear after operations on the abdomen and pelvis, as well as after inflammatory processes and injuries. Most people who have undergone surgery have adhesions themselves, and they usually do not interfere in any way. They speak of adhesive disease when they cause complaints: nagging pain, bloating, stool disturbances, and in severe cases, intestinal obstruction, when a loop of intestine is bent or compressed. Adhesive obstruction is a threatening condition that requires urgent hospitalization.

Toxoplasmosis
Toxoplasmosis is caused by a single-celled parasite for which cats are the main host and humans are the occasional host. You can get infected not only from a cat: much more often the source is poorly cooked meat, unwashed vegetables and herbs, and working with soil without gloves. In a healthy person, the infection usually goes unnoticed or as a mild ailment with enlarged lymph nodes, and then the parasite remains dormant in the body and does not cause harm. The danger arises in two situations: with primary infection during pregnancy, when damage to the fetus is possible, and with a pronounced decrease in immunity, when a dormant infection can be activated.

Thin endometrium
Thin endometrium is a condition in which the uterine mucosa does not reach sufficient thickness at the time of possible implantation. The endometrium grows under the influence of estrogens in the first half of the cycle, and it is its quality that largely determines whether the embryo can attach. Most often, the conclusion about a thin endometrium appears in women preparing for embryo transfer, or in the absence of pregnancy for a long time. The reasons are different: the consequences of curettage and inflammation, adhesions in the uterine cavity, impaired blood flow, hormonal characteristics. It is important that thickness is not the only criterion, and the doctor also evaluates the structure of the mucosa and blood flow.

Thrombophilia
Thrombophilia is an increased tendency of blood to form blood clots. It can be hereditary, associated with the characteristics of coagulation genes, and acquired, the most significant example of which is antiphospholipid syndrome. It is important to understand: thrombophilia is not a disease that is felt, but a risk factor. By itself, it does not cause symptoms and appears only when a blood clot has already formed: in the veins of the legs, pulmonary artery or vessels of the placenta. Thrombosis almost always develops when a predisposition is combined with a provoking factor - surgery, prolonged immobility, pregnancy, or taking hormonal contraceptives. Therefore, tests are prescribed not for everyone, but for specific indications.

Threat of miscarriage
Threatened miscarriage, or threatened miscarriage, is a condition up to 22 weeks in which bloody discharge appears from the genital tract, sometimes with nagging pain in the lower abdomen, but the cervix is closed and the embryo is alive. Bloody discharge is common in the first trimester, and most women continue to have a normal pregnancy after this. The main cause of early miscarriages is random chromosomal abnormalities of the embryo, which do not depend on the behavior of the mother. It is important to undergo an ultrasound in a timely manner to make sure that the pregnancy is uterine and developing, and for Rh-negative women to decide on the prevention of Rh conflict. Heavy bleeding and severe pain require emergency care.

Ureaplasma and mycoplasma during pregnancy
Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma hominis are microorganisms that are often found in the genital tract of healthy women and are considered opportunistic. Their detection in itself does not mean a disease and in most women does not require treatment. The situation is different with Mycoplasma genitalium: it is a recognized causative agent of sexually transmitted infections, which is always treated. During pregnancy, the issue becomes especially painful, because women fear for the child, and prescriptions are often excessive. A reasonable approach is to separate these organisms based on symptoms and pregnancy status rather than treat the test result.

Chronic pelvic pain in women
Chronic pelvic pain is pain in the lower abdomen and pelvic area that bothers a woman for at least six months, is not associated solely with menstruation and reduces the quality of life. This is a complex problem: the source can be the genitals, intestines, bladder, pelvic floor muscles, nerves and spine, and often there are several causes at once. Often, after long-term pain, increased sensitivity of the nervous system develops, and then the pain persists even after the original cause has been eliminated. Therefore, the modern approach is comprehensive: examination by several specialists and treatment aimed at both the cause and the pain itself.

Ovarian cystadenoma
Ovarian cystadenoma is a benign tumor, which is a cavity with a dense capsule and liquid contents. Its fundamental difference from a functional cyst is that it is not associated with the phases of the cycle and does not disappear on its own: observing it for months in the hope of resorption is pointless. Most often, cystadenoma is found by chance during ultrasound, because small formations do not hurt. As you grow, heaviness appears in the lower abdomen, an increase in its volume, and pressure on the bladder. The main dangers are torsion of the legs, rupture of the capsule and, less commonly, malignant degeneration, so the gynecologist determines the tactics.
