The treadmill test is used to diagnose hidden manifestations of coronary insufficiency (coronary heart disease). A treadmill test is an ECG study that is carried out under conditions of physical activity on a special treadmill. To assess cardiac response to physical activity, the patient walks on a treadmill and gradually increases the speed and incline of the treadmill. The treadmill test is carried out until the intensity of the discomfort turns into the need to stop the study or until the maximum value of heart rate and blood pressure is reached.

At the VITAMED MEDICAL clinic, the treadmill test is carried out using expert-class equipment - ST80i Stress Testing System, Phillips (Netherlands).
