Polysomnography is a sleep study using specialized computer systems to identify the cause of sleep disturbance. This is a gentle and painless diagnostic method, and is practically not felt by the patient, since the patient is asleep during the examination. It can be performed on children (from an early age), pregnant women, and elderly patients.
