The main types of proctological operations at the Vitamed Medical clinic..

High-quality treatment of hemorrhoids and anal fissures.

The most common disease with which patients turn to a proctologist today is hemorrhoids, the treatment of which is effectively carried out by modern medicine at any stage. The innovative methods of our clinic make it possible to get rid of this disease very quickly. In addition, we successfully treat diseases such as:

  • anal fissure,
  • coccygeal cyst (epithelial coccygeal duct),
  • rectal fistulas,
  • pustular lesion of the skin of the perineum,
  • incontinence of gases and feces,
  • rectal prolapse,
  • severe constipation,
  • and other diseases of the rectum.

            Treatment of proctological diseases in the center is not complete without a thorough diagnosis, which is carried out efficiently and quickly. This makes it possible to establish an accurate diagnosis in the shortest possible time and carry out the necessary treatment, both conservative and surgical. Conservative treatment of hemorrhoids gives a temporary effect, therefore, after acute inflammation subsides, minimally invasive treatment or surgical intervention is recommended, depending on the stage of the disease. Until now, surgical treatment of hemorrhoids is the standard; it is most often used for the 3rd and 4th stages of the disease.

Minimally invasive manipulations:

1. Injection sclerotherapy for hemorrhoids.

2. Ligation of hemorrhoids with latex rings. With this non-surgical technique, the proctologist, using an anoscope, gains access to the hemorrhoidal node, then, using a high-tech instrument (ligator), places a latex ring on the base of the hemorrhoidal node, which is rejected after 7-10 days and comes out during stool.

            Among minimally invasive methods for removing hemorrhoids, the most common are laser coagulation. In this case, a temperature effect occurs on the tissues, resulting in their destruction or transformation. The duration of the procedure is about 10-25 minutes. Compared to traditional hemorrhoidectomy, laser surgery has the following advantages:

  • no bleeding, therefore, there is no need for frequent postoperative dressings;
  • the recovery period is shorter and there is less pain;
  • the operation can be performed even in the presence of perirectal fistulas, inflammatory processes, and anal fissures.

            Treatment methods for anal fissure.

If the crack is “fresh”, conservative treatment is prescribed.

A minimally invasive treatment method - carried out in a one-day hospital setting. Laser removal of anal fissure and a procedure to permanently reduce the tone of the rectum are performed. This is a highly effective method that has proven itself well in the European Union. The operation itself usually lasts no more than 30 minutes.

Advantages of the method:

  • reduction in the duration of surgery, a significant reduction in blood loss during the operation and the morbidity of the incision;
  • reduction of pain and swelling of soft tissues in the postoperative period;
  • reducing the period of epithelization of the surgical wound;
  • reduction in the number of postoperative complications and relapses of the disease;
  • reducing the period of patient incapacity for work.

Treatment of acute paraproctitis is surgical only! Surgery for acute paraproctitis is performed urgently, immediately after diagnosis. Typically, operations for acute paraproctitis are performed in a hospital setting.

             Treatment of rectal fistula.

The only radical method of treating rectal fistulas is surgical, i.e. the presence of a fistula is a direct indication for surgery.

Laser treatment of perirectal fistulas is one of the most promising techniques. This procedure is minimally traumatic for the patient, so he can immediately return to normal life. Due to the physical properties of the laser beam, this treatment method has a number of advantages compared to standard surgical excision of the fistula tract.

Laser treatment of perirectal fistulas is almost identical to their surgical removal. This method is radical, since the surgeon completely removes the fistula tract and its internal opening, that is, the risk of re-formation of the fistula is minimal.

Laser treatment is currently one of the most effective and safe methods used for proctological diseases. The use of modern installations for laser surgery makes it possible to achieve high precision of intervention and reduce the risk of complications to a minimum.
