Hysterosalpingography at the VITAMED MEDICAL clinic

Hysterosalpingography (HSG, x-ray of the uterus and fallopian tubes) is a medical procedure that is performed to study the structure of the uterus and fallopian tubes and to check the patency of the fallopian tubes. This is a minimally invasive examination, the likelihood of complications developing is extremely low.

It is carried out relatively quickly and makes it possible to obtain information about various anomalies that may cause infertility or miscarriage. In some cases, hysterosalpingography allows the lumen of the fallopian tubes to be restored and allows the patient to become pregnant. After completion of the examination, no radiation remains in the patient’s body. When used for diagnostic purposes, X-rays do not cause any side effects.
